Dr. Omar Khan,
MBS Poet Laureat

Dr. Omar Khan joined the University of Maine Business school faculty as an Assistant Professor of Marketing in 2005.  He currently teaches many different undergraduate and graduate marketing courses, specializing in international marketing. He received his Masters and PhD degrees at Saint Louis University and has published in several leading academic journals . He has grown up and traveled in 26 countries and speaks 5 different languages including English, Urdu/Hindi, Punjabi, Arabic, and Persian.

Dr. Khan was honored as the Maine Business School Poet Laureate because of his undercover stints as a distinguished performance poet! He is also an avid Cricket fan,  played for his college school, and still often plays with the University of Maine cricket club. He is the advisor of the American Marketing Association, a group that does a notable amount of service around the campus and the community. Recently, the AMA's case study team won a semi-finalist positionat the nationals in New Orleans.
